Eat Local Food

About Eat Local Food

A directory of people who grow food and sell it direct.

What this site is

Eat Local Food lists farms, ranches, markets, and food makers that sell direct to the public. It exists so anyone can find real food grown near them, and so small producers can be found without a marketing budget. Listings stay factual. Every local producer qualifies for a free listing.

Why it exists

Most food money flows through big box stores and long supply chains. The farm down the road often sells better food for a fair price, but nobody can find it. This site closes that gap, one place at a time.

Where it started

The directory started in Armstrong, BC, a small farm city in the North Okanagan. New places get added as producers in them sign up.

Who runs it

Eat Local Food is built and maintained in farm country by Duford Digital, a web design and marketing company in Armstrong, BC.
